...It was so incredible to see our kids thrive, make friends and connections, and have so much fun. For us as adults, it was so refreshing getting to talk with other worldschooling parents who just get it. Hubby and I have made lifelong friendships from that one cruise. Personally, I think it’s the only way we will cruise moving forward.
Last year our family went on a 42-night worldschooling cruise and absolutely loved it. It was so incredible to see our kids thrive, make friends and connections, and have so much fun. For us as adults, it was so refreshing getting to talk with other worldschooling parents who just get it. Hubby and I have made lifelong friendships from that one cruise. Personally, I think it’s the only way we will cruise moving forward.
We had no idea what to expect, worst case we get an affordable, all inclusive vacation to Oz. From the first group get together the night before the cruise we knew we had chosen right. Welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable, the people that formed our group have now become friends no matter where anyone is in the world...
Stepping out into the Worldschooling community was one of the scariest things we have ever done; and it has turned out to be amazing. We took a leap a year ago when I was looking for other options for my granddaughter. I came across Elena Ollick and a cruise to Sydney, Australia. After only a couple days we were booked and looking forward. Did we originally think we just got hoodwinked, of course! But once we got our confirmation excitement set in! It also helped that when we made a change to our reservation Elena reached out to ensure everything was okay. We had no idea what to expect, worst case we get an affordable, all inclusive vacation to Oz. From the first group get together the night before the cruise we knew we had chosen right. Welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable, the people that formed our group have now become friends no matter where anyone is in the world. My daughter who had no interest in socializing at home, has friends she talks to daily. She feels she has found ‘her people’. My husband and I feel the same about the parents. There was no judgement about what we do, don’t do, or believe in. I have never felt more engaged than with the group of people I met on the cruise. They looked out for us, we looked out for them, and everyone’s main focus was on the kids (and hot tub!). Homeschooling (and it’s counterparts) is tough and parents can become overwhelmed, cruising has something for everyone in a safe environment. Kids can be kids and learn so much while the parents can get some much required ‘me time’. I feel humbled to be part of this community. With another 2 cruises on the horizon, and a retreat in Austria, I can honestly say we are in!
My kids absolutely thrive adventuring the world with their peers. We love to travel, but it’s just me and my kids, so this takes some stress and nervousness away when it’s a group of like-minded people. We’ve made lifelong friends and, dare I say it, family.
It was my family's favorite vacation ever. I know it was kind of luck of the draw the families that you get to travel with but these people were amazing. I think we all made lifelong friends and plan to travel to visit to families this summer...
I don't have words. It was my family's favorite vacation ever. I know it was kind of luck of the draw the families that you get to travel with but these people were amazing. I think we all made lifelong friends and plan to travel to visit to families this summer. I agree with you that the key to starting off right was meeting beforehand. Being able to have dinner every night together was a huge bonus. And also doing excursions together really cemented the group.
My husband's kind of shy and he made two male friends that he will probably keep forever. It was very interesting to see all the different backgrounds and why are we all homeschool and it's all from completely different angles it was really amazing. I definitely want to do another one. And I'm interested in the difference between land Excursion ones and the cruise ships.. even the last days disaster Excursion was okay because we were together.
I can honestly say that this trip was life changing. I never used that word. We had fabulous trips, amazing, spectacular… but life changing?? Well… I don’t know about that. And now this trip shifted something in me and it has nothing to do with Japan. Obviously Japan is fantastic, but no country can compare to the connections, the community and the friendships that we fostered.
Thank YOU for organizing such an unforgettable trip. I will say nothing different than what others are already saying, but I will say this. When we first booked the cruise the focus was Japan/Korea. I did a lot of research about things to see, taste, book and experience. However now that we are back and the “short” 2-week cruise is over I can honestly say that this trip was life changing. I never used that word. We had fabulous trips, amazing, spectacular… but life changing?? Well… I don’t know about that. And now this trip shifted something in me and it has nothing to do with Japan. Obviously Japan is fantastic and different, but no country can compare to the connections, the community and the friendships that we fostered. I’ve never experienced that and I’m still in trans.
We have a teen boy (shy at first but blossoms with the right people). He really had the time of his life (also fall in love lol) they were 11 teens (some of them not from the group but just from the cruise) and they were inseparable! I mean… non stop, constantly together, all day and dancing at night There was NO drama, no bullying, no weirdness, no nothing!!! I’ve never seen anything like it. WE FOUND OUR PEOPLE (I’m crying happy tears writing this). I just want our group moving-in together in the same neighborhood walking distance from each other and then cruising together again and again… ahhh utopia If I could book all the cruises I think I need a job … what a horrible conclusion Remote, exciting, six-figure and part time So, again - thank you for this truly unforgettable experience which words are not enough to describe the feelings that I have
I was so surprised to hear my kids both say they wished we could go on a cruise with only sea days, while on the Alaskan cruise. Like, VERY surprised. They just had so much fun freely spending time with all the kids. They just had so much fun freely spending time with all the kids. Of course I’m processing what I think of this, as this was a wonderful experience for them, AND it definitely wasn’t our typical manner of travel or exploring/learning. Between the quick port days and only wanting to hang out with the kids while on board, our typical depth of learning was different, but I witnessed them grow so much as individuals and that definitely matters. 11 sea days for Japan>LA and vice versa seems like SO much, and yet seems wonderful for the soul, haha. This Alaskan cruise was the easiest travel I’ve done in years. The logistics were so easy and relaxing. I’m used to managing spreadsheets with travel time, hotels, transportation on top of figuring out activities and food.... and a cruise was a true vacation from all of that!

Well we appreciate you and your team more than you know I don't think we would've started this whole worldschooling journey if it weren't for you and that post about the Korea/Japan cruise! And then of course fostering such an amazing community that we actually wanted to continue being a part of! I mean we've traveled and been on vacations of course but this was definitely different. They learned a lot about history, culture, geography, etc, and made so many great friends while doing so. Plus gained some independence and even confidence!
I'm so excited to see what the future holds for this group.
We are so happy that we found out about the amazing cruise we took with Elena! The entire process was smooth sailing! Our family of four had an amazing time and made such wonderful memories. We are now in love with cruising and can’t wait to take another trip.
We went on our first cruise in 2024, a 32-day transpacific, and loved it so much we coordinated with them again for a Seattle-to-Japan cruise. These kinds of cruises are great for finding community. You find other parents who just get the whole homeschool, worldschool, unschooling vibe. The kids find community too. It’s a great way to get around.
I would happily pay extra for the level of care and attention I’ve received during the booking process. I was feeling quite anxious about it all, but everything was made so easy, and every single one of my (many!) questions was answered with patience and clarity...

I can’t comment on the trip itself just yet, as my first one hasn’t happened, but the booking experience was flawless. Highly recommend!

Traveling with Worldschooling Journeys has been some of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. Watching my son build real friendships with kids from all over the world has been incredibly special—and as a mom, I feel completely safe and supported traveling solo with the group. Elena has truly become one of my closest friends through these journeys. These aren’t just trips for the kids—parents walk away with just as much wisdom, connection, and inspiration. It’s learning in the most beautiful, adventurous way possible.
What a difference a year makes! Last year did not end the way I had envisioned but life gifted me several lessons to take with me into this second half of life. This tribe (worldschoolers) has given me joy and hope in a world that feels bleak at times. Each one of you is the change we speak of and your children will be all the better for it...

This tribe (worldschoolers) has given me joy and hope in a world that feels bleak at times. Each one of you is the change we speak of and your children will be all the better for it and most likely continue that ripple effect into their lives. I am so honored to have found and travelled with you in this lifetime. May we meet again. No need for goodbyes. Love and light
...I had looked at pictures of these trips and worried as an introvert if I would self implode. I'm happy to say that I did not, since then we already have another trip locked in and another one planned for next summer. Put your fears aside and give it one trip. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
As a single mom traveling overseas for the first time with my kids...my stress level was through the ROOF. I had been talking with Elena Ollick off and on for almost a year. I grew to adore her but was still terrified we wouldn't fit in with the group as a whole. We took the plunge and scheduled two back to back cruises(we had never even been on a cruise before) everyone was so welcoming and there were even other single parents too which put my heart at ease! I was hesitant because a lot of homeschooling/worldschooling groups are super religious and this was not that. I'm sure some of the group are very faith based but this was such an inclusive group that didn't focus on religion. I had looked at pictures of these trips and worried as an introvert if I would self implode. I'm happy to say that I did not, since then we already have another trip locked in and another one planned for next summer. Put your fears aside and give it one trip. Our kids were on the older end of the group (15 and 17) so for us it was an exercise in giving them freedom and then encouraging good decisions and options. The kids largely set their own schedules, decided when and where to eat and who to join or invite to join them. They chose what activities to participate in, what to observe and what to skip. They learned how to manage the questions (and occasional criticism) from more rigid or closed-minded cruisers on their own. They self-policed the actions and activities within their group, keeping the noise and language down, garbage and dirty dishes, and their overall effect on staff and other cruisers. There were talking points and learning opportunities on a daily basis. We saw a transformation in nearly every kid. New social skills, new bravery and new willingness to explore and make friends. We also saw some parents relax their pre-determined boundaries to allow their kids more age-appropriate freedom and self-determination and the confidence BLOOMED.
Our first cruise adventure was absolutely amazing! We didn’t know what to expect, especially after a few friends warned us it might be boring with so many days at sea. Spoiler alert: it was anything but boring! We had so much fun, and now we’re hooked—definitely doing it again...

Every summer, we usually head to a family camp, and honestly, the cruise felt a lot like that—just on water—with 13 other homeschool families. The best part? No awkward questions from strangers about school. It was pure magic being surrounded by people who just get it.
We spent our days chatting about traveling, homeschooling, unschooling, and all the amazing things that come with it. No need to explain why my kids don’t take year-end tests, what grade they’re in, or when I’ll “send them back” to school. It was so freeing and easy. I’m so glad we took the plunge, and I’m already counting down to our next Worldschooling Cruise! Bring it on!
The world is an amazing place. The more I get out there, the more I am eternally grateful for using the world as our classroom. Until such time as that choice is taken away from us then I look forward to many more valuable life lessons and unforgettable social experiences for the boys!
Still amazes me when people say they could never travel with their kids because it would be too much (mentally). There would be nothing more ‘too much’ to me than being stuck in this country permanently. If I could, I would travel full time and you would not believe how many people actually do travel full time; it’s a whole new world out there! We only think our existence is living until you actually meet people who are ‘living’.
Give me a trip with the boys any day over a big mortgage, designer bags/shoes, latest trends or any other traps that people often find themselves lured into.
People often refer to travel as some sort of luxury that only the minority can afford. I also consider a big mortgage a luxury that I wouldn’t want because it would remove so many opportunities from our life. I know lots of people paying €1.5–2k per month & more!
There is a 2 weeks Royal Caribbean transatlantic cruise in February that lots of worldschoolers are going on again & for 2 adults & 2 children it is about $2000 dollars in a balcony cabin! That’s for all your food, activities & you wouldn’t have to spend another penny if you didn’t want to. For this same cruise during school holidays I’d say it would be at least 4 times the price but I will never find out The world is an amazing place. The more I get out there, the more I am eternally grateful for using the world as our classroom. Until such time as that choice is taken away from us then I look forward to many more valuable life lessons and unforgettable social experiences for the boys!
We had a ton of fun activities and gatherings on the ship. The other families were awesome and my kid continues to ask about them, two months later. If you're considering going on one of these trips — stop thinking about it and just go. You'll create wonderful memories for years to come!

Ok wow, I have so much to say on this but will try to keep it brief!
We are a mostly neurodivergent family and VERY introverted. We had never been on a cruise before and we had all sorts of worries about whether we would connect with the other families or not and how we would deal with having a much busier schedule than normal and/or demands of our time. It turns out we had NOTHING to worry about!
My kids are teens and up until now have not had a great deal of independence, mostly due to life circumstances and/or rural living. They, especially my 15yr old boy, simply flourished. They went to play games with the other kids, for meals, swimming, etc. The last two weeks of the 31 days on the transpacific I could set my watch by the evening routine of dinner at 5pm, games until 9pm, the late show in the theatre and then "home" to bed. And this wasn't us, this was the group of kids. They did most of these activities without us. We were especially proud of the 8-10 kids who had dinner without an adult in the main dining room (NOT the buffet). They ordered politely, making adjustments to the menu to suit their palates, and the staff never had a bad word to say about them. We sometimes joined a little later and could sit across the dining room from them without worry. It was SO nice to allow the kids so much freedom without having to worry about them!
While Wren is blissfully retired, I have trouble turning off my brain, so I still work remotely. I tutor mostly high school aged kids, anywhere from 5-15hrs a week. I use Zoom (a bit of a bandwidth hog compared to Teams) and was able to function fairly normally on the ship. My biggest struggle was the changing time zones, but I just let my computer do the work of telling me when my meetings were and I never missed a beat with my work.
As for the worry about being introverted and not having enough down time, it wasn't an issue either. We connected well with the other parents and we joined in with activities when we wanted to and no one begrudged anyone else an early night or a quiet day.
Overall, the cruise was just EASY. I didn't have to cook or clean, I didn't worry about the kids or scheduling, there were friends there if we wanted them, and weren't when we didn't. We've definitely made friends for life with a handful of them and were so glad to connect with everyone. For my, even as an introvert, worldschooling is about connection; building the connection within our family unit and connecting with new people all over the world and getting to experience life with them.
I want to stress that within 60 minutes of meeting a fraction of the families I was all-in. Everyone was so wonderful and friendly , my daughter immediately found a best friend within that time and the two were inseparable from then on...
My first thought of joining a cruise with a bunch of people that I have never met before and worldschooling that I knew little about put me a bit on edge. I want my daughter to have experiences that are going to last and be meaningful. Meeting kids her age or slightly older and interacting with them are my highest concerns. This is where in my eyes kids grow exponentially from experiences shared. I want to stress that within 60 minutes of meeting a fraction of the families I was all-in. Everyone was so wonderful and friendly , my daughter immediately found a best friend within that time and the two were inseparable from then on. It did not stop there, the excitement, friends grew throughout. It has now been three months since our initial journey and our daughter talks about all the people on that trip on a daily basis. She can’t wait for the next time to see all of her friends.
Since then we’ve scheduled two more cruises with the world schooling group, one land based after that and tentatively scheduled a few more.
I can’t express how much this has opened our eyes to what the possibilities could be and thanks to Elena and team for making all of this happen.
The cruise climate with our Worldschooling group was beyond expectations. We have been traveling for 3 years and the group of kids from our Worldschooling cruise are the only kids my children regularly talk with, even more than 6 months since we last saw anyone...
As a traveling family we have learned that we prefer to not fly and instead make the journey part of the adventure. We have cruised twice before (both transatlantic) and liked the freedom of movement it gave us as a family and also the space it gave us. We spend A LOT of time together, but being on the cruise made it easier to separate and meet back up and it felt safer from the adult perspective too. While both of those cruises had some other kids, it wasn’t quite the same as having other Worldschooling kids. Those other kids were on a family vacation, so they were spending that time together as a family and not available at different times of the day for games and other activities.
When joining the transpacific Worldschooling cruise we were immediately excited about the age range of the children. This was to be our first experience traveling with other families with a similar lifestyle AND kids in the same age range.
The cruise climate with our Worldschooling group was beyond expectations. We have been traveling for 3 years and the group of kids from our Worldschooling cruise are the only kids my children regularly talk with, even more than 6 months since we last saw anyone. The ability for the kids to have autonomy and the adults to share that same autonomy is something that will make another group cruise high on our to do list. Do it! It will change you.

The first cruise I went solo with my 3 children and I think I was more nervous for myself about meeting other adults and being stuck alone but I made what I hope are lifelong friends! My tween had a blast running around the ship and my very shy little girl made a best friend she FaceTimes with. Of course you click more with some than others but overall everyone was incredible, interesting, kind and welcoming. Kids were instant friends and it was so nice to be able to give them a little more freedom along with some life skills like being on time for meals directions around the boat etc lol.
I feel like it was also a great way for me to dip my toes in the water trying to travel abroad with 3 children! It’s definitely worth a try! And you can’t beat not having to cook for weeks at a time
Our Japan trip a few months ago was AMAZING!!! Parents and kids were all so welcoming! I had some apprehensions about joining a new group in which we knew no one. This trip far exceeded my expectations in every way and we can’t wait to meet up in Austria in a few weeks!
We have done one cruise and we absolutely loved it. We met the most amazing people and, as a result, we made major changes to our life. It was a great way to travel, with a fun ship and amazing countries visited. We also made lifelong friends from this trip.

We made it across the Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia! This journey has been nothing short of amazing—filled with relaxing sea days, mouthwatering food, and stunning port stops. But the true highlight? The incredible friendships we made along the way! What started as a group of strangers from a travel Facebook group turned into something so much more. After 31 days together on this floating home, we became like family. It’s not goodbye—it’s see you later!
We had never done anything like this before our April trip. IT WAS AWESOME! Our kids had such a great time and we loved being in a group and having a sense of belonging and understanding. Elena is legit and does a wonderful job putting these trips together. My family is so thankful that we found her.

We did a worldschooling cruise with Worldschooling Journeys last month, it was exactly what you’re describing. There were a group of families that were more religious and they found each other/connected, whereas the group we connected with most were much more chilled, we all had our own religions but that was never really the conversation point unless we were discussing a specific experience or something.
My daughter struggles to make friends (probably not helped by the fact that she has adhd and asd) yet she made some of the nicest friends on this cruise and they all got on well from day 1… we’ve been back home a month now as she prepares for some exams in January, and she misses the relationships she built on this trip so much (though they all still have contact via WhatsApp).
I also have to put up with her sending me every cruise deal she comes across now.. I’m not sure how I’ll live up to this again, might have to just stick to the worldschooling cruises for a bit
My youngest had the same concerns, but they loved the teen areas where they were able to play games and make new friends. They both want to do more cruises now.
I was excited to try something new. I love meeting new people and although traveling can be difficult with 5 kids (a baby and a child with disabilities) i am glad I was able to do it. When families come together to share one common interest homeschooling around the world it is amazing...
I was excited to try something new. I love meeting new people and although traveling can be difficult with 5 kids (a baby and a child with disabilities) i am glad I was able to do it. When families come together to share one common interest homeschooling around the world it is amazing. The families were helpful and considerate towards us since my daughter has a special stroller/wheelchair. My kids say this is the only way they want to travel from now on.
We’ve been on five legs with the group, and I can’t sing their praises enough. Our kids have made lifelong friends, as have we. The connections built are indescribable because it’s a group of people who get you and your kids. Our kids wish we could do every trip.
The friendships, bonds we formed, and experiences we shared made our recent Transatlantic amazing, and we can't wait to book another trip.

THE. BEST. TIME! If anyone is thinking about signing up next year, DO IT! I could not imagine having a more fun 2 weeks! Elena and Joe worked so hard to put together an incredible trip and it shows!

An amazing trip with the most amazing people! I will miss you all. I do hope to see everyone again someday. Safe travels to you all.
I traveled when I was younger and always came home more mature, more worldly, more cultured, wiser in the ways of the world. I knew that my children would experience more than I could have ever offered them at home and from a book. I knew that whatever they learned from our trip would be something I could not measure.
We just did a worldschooling trip with Elena Ollick and I went in with mixed expectations.
I traveled when I was younger and always came home more mature, more worldly, more cultured, wiser in the ways of the world. I knew that my children would experience more than I could have ever offered them at home and from a book. I knew that whatever they learned from our trip would be something I could not measure. I knew that the kids would come home more experienced and more understanding of world language, cuisine, and history. What I didn't understand about worldschooling (and I certainly do now) is that the kids would make great friends, play games, have their own experiences that I wouldn't be part of and grow physically and mentally. As a homeschooling mom, I learned different ways kids learn, I got to hear new ideas that I could bring home and try with my kids. I made lifetime friends myself. I became a better mom and we became a stronger family. I cannot wait to worldschool again and I would highly recommend Elena and Joe Psyk. They made the trip amazing. They planned adventures out my comfort zone (that I absolutely loved) and made it easy for me to travel (it was just me and 3 kids). On top of all this, my husband is a risk manager and would have never let me travel alone. There is truly safety in numbers. Any reservations you have about worldschooling will quickly be quelled after one adventure. I hope I can schedule another one soon and hope you can come too! Aloha!
Thank you all for the epic adventures! That itinerary was stacked in all the best ways. We loved the charm of the town and the hotel. The outings were so much fun. Friendships were made and will be forever cherished. It was harder to leave this morning than any of us expected it to be. What a beautiful country! This trip will forever reside in our hearts...

Friendships were made and will be forever cherished. It was harder to leave this morning than any of us expected it to be. What a beautiful country! This trip will forever reside in our hearts, the memories the girls got to make will surely be unforgettable. Thank you for that! The impression we all leave on one another is greater than any one of us can expect. Let those moments propel us out into the world, changed and better for it. Safe travels and well wishes to you all!
I might look like the quiet one, but don’t let that fool you—I was having a great time listening to all your jokes, stories, and adventures. Honestly, with entertainment like that, why would I interrupt? Thank you for all the laughs, and thank you Worldschooling Journeys! A big hug from the Beals! We truly enjoyed getting to know you all.
I found myself tearing up getting on the van earlier. Thanks to everyone. This was such a special experience. I’m beyond grateful for how everyone embraced Zachary and supported me too. Please reach out whenever in the Pacific NW. I very much look forward to staying in touch with you all.
The most special part of being in a group where people come together — even if it starts with just one thing in common — is discovering how powerful it is to simply come as you are.
No cast could ever hold back your spirit or stop you from being your genuine, kind, and appreciative self. Elena captured you and your family so perfectly with her words. The most special part of being in a group where people come together — even if it starts with just one thing in common — is discovering how powerful it is to simply come as you are.
Despite all our differences and unique characteristics, God brings us together exactly because of that — to share, reflect, and see beyond our own perspectives through one another, and to grow beyond our own limitations. For sure, no mom or family passed by blank through my eyes; each one of you definitely taught me or reminded me of something special in my journey — and that is the beauty.
He shapes us through each other and reminds us how important it is to walk this journey of life together. It’s always better when we have one another. Life is a journey, and it’s always better when we don’t walk it alone.
It was definitely a summer camp for us adults (and I regretted not putting more effort into teaching yoga to the group — it would have been great to create space to integrate each day’s lessons). And for sure, the more we allow ourselves to be shaped and to learn, the more our children will be inspired to thrive in life. Moments like this genuinely bring out the best in both — we learn from our children, and they learn from us.
Thank you, Elena and Joe Psyk for the hard work of bringing the seeds God put in your souls to create this kind of experience for people. I know it’s not easy — it’s definitely something very special to work with people, but for sure, it’s not the easiest task. May God keep blessing your work so it continues to flourish, facilitating moments like this.
Thank you everyone for the amazing time together! We met great friends and want to stay connected. If you’re in FL please make time to visit us in Sarasota. We’ve got two guest bedrooms for you!
Our Austria trip was everything I’d hoped it would be. Before we even got on the plane, I told my husband, “If this works out, these worldschool tours may be how we travel for the foreseeable future.” The idea that I could go on a vacation that I didn’t plan myself, and actually enjoy each and every activity chosen for me...
Our Austria trip was everything I’d hoped it would be. Before we even got on the plane, I told my husband, “If this works out, these worldschool tours may be how we travel for the foreseeable future.” The idea that I could go on a vacation that I didn’t plan myself, and actually enjoy each and every activity chosen for me, seemed too good to be true. But we love being outdoors, we love hiking, we love playing… so this trip seemed like a great fit. And we weren’t disappointed! Not only was the itinerary a blast, but this was the first trip in a long time that actually seemed like a vacation. This mama didn’t plan a single activity, cook a single meal, figure out any transportation… I was truly able to “vacate” and simply enjoy. The locations and hikes chosen were beautiful, the playgrounds and other kids’ entertainment kept my son occupied for days, and the spas were an awesome respite for my husband and me. We WILL be going back… and we WILL be booking future worldschooling adventures with Worldschooling Journeys!
I was going to say... Matthew completely transformed during the 10 days! Maybe most of all the kids, I could really see his confidence shine by the end and he was so loved by everyone, a quiet, inspiring leader!
Hi all, we didn't get to say goodbye to many of you yesterday so I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed meeting you all and how grateful I was that my girls got to hang out with your kids and make some cool memories! Safe travels to everyone and maybe see you again on another trip!
Thank you very much to the whole group for a wonderful experience of traveling and learning together! And, SPECIAL GRATITUDE to Elena and Joe, our group leaders and organizers, for amazing accommodations, at a truly great value!
You know how people sometimes say "I could never be kidnapped... I talk and eat too much that the kidnappers would go broke trying to feed me and crazy from listening to me chatter on endlessly"? Elena and Joe could never be kidnapped either. But they know their isht, they're 1000% real and they're committed to this life.

I think if they were kidnapped... the kidnappers would end up worldschooling with them... just folded into the tribe.
Thank you Worldschooling Journeys for sharing your hearts with us and showing up so fully. This has been an epic experience thanks to your utmost care for building not just itineraries but a true community. I overheard Atena telling Daddy on the phone today that Austria is the best and she's loved being here with you all...

This has been an epic experience thanks to your utmost care for building not just itineraries but a true community. I overheard Atena telling Daddy on the phone today that Austria is the best and she's loved being here with you all. Thank you everyone for tolerating and co-parenting my very sassy girls and showing me a glimpse of how you all world school in your own ways. The inspiration will stay with me and our paths shall cross again some day somewhere in our world schooling journeys
We are leaving tomorrow and heading back to Munich from where we fly home this Friday. What we had imagined for this trip was far exceeded by the reality. Trish you were spot on when you said you didn’t imagine you would make so many wonderful friendships so quickly...
We are leaving tomorrow and heading back to Munich from where we fly home this Friday. What we had imagined for this trip was far exceeded by the reality. Trish you were spot on when you said you didn’t imagine you would make so many wonderful friendships so quickly. Austria still has an open ticket of places I want to see and experience. I felt like this was a bit like summer camp for adults as well. You come in a little nervous, unsure of what to expect (sharing your holiday with complete strangers-for some of us) and find that no matter where you came from we all love adventure, seek play (inner child), and are willing to challenge ourselves out of our comfort zones. I have memories with each member of this group (big and small). I loved watching how the group worked as a community taking care of each other always offering to help. Elena and Joe you fill a much needed void of helping people connect with other people. Allowing for a space to forget all things (political/social etc) and existing as humans and focusing on the essence of life. Cheers to a great trip!
Thank you for another amazing trip. It was so much fun and this group was so amazing to meet and get to know. Thank you for bringing us all together! You are truly amazing!
Thanks for an absolutely fabulous time together! We can’t wait too see everyone again in some part of the world!
I’m not a crier (when it comes to goodbyes, at least), but that was an epic group hug. It’ll live in my memory forever.
Port Excursions
A cruise is only as good as its shore days — and our port excursion reviews prove it. We carefully coordinate excursions that are safe, reliable, and enriching — whether that’s snorkeling in crystal waters, cultural city tours, or private family adventures.
Amalfi Coast was enjoyable. Our driver was good. Lunch was ok. Pompeii was Amazing. Daniela our guide was beyond excellent. I highly recommend requesting Daniela for Pompeii or Naples. She brought so much knowledge to the tour. Was great with the families in our group.
Tour was great! We loved all the places we went and Hati was sweet and funny and great with our kids! A wonderful time.
Excellent tour with great tour guides. This tour was very well organized with no time wasted. Our tour guide, Atena, was very knowledgeable and very engaging for both adults and children of all different ages. Every step of the tour was well thought through and very clearly communicated. This was one of the highlights of our trip.
We had a wonderful trip! The guides were so kind and very knowledgeable. They made sure we got the most out of our whale watching trip. It was a beautiful clear day and we got to see a mother and baby humpback. It was magical!
