Instead of cruise line tours, we partner with small, family-run local operators so your money supports the communities we visit. All our excursions are private to our group, and our guides are carefully chosen for their ability to lead fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences for world-schooled kids.

Sitka Wildlife & Totem Heritage Tour
Get a rich introduction to Sitka through the two things that make it unforgettable: wildlife and Indigenous heritage. This tour brings you face-to-face with rescued brown and black bears, bald eagles and other raptors, and the towering totem poles that tell the stories of the Tlingit people. It combines close-up animal encounters with meaningful cultural learning, all in a compact outing that gives a real sense of what makes Southeast Alaska so special.
- Fortress of the Bear: See rescued brown and black bears up close in a protected habitat and learn how the sanctuary cares for orphaned and displaced bears.
- Alaska Raptor Center: Visit a rehabilitation center dedicated to bald eagles and other birds of prey, where injured birds are treated and prepared to return to the wild.
- Sitka National Historical Park (Totem Park): Walk among towering totem poles while learning about Tlingit culture, traditions, and the history of the area.
- Scenic Sitka drive: Travel through the town and surrounding landscapes while guides point out wildlife and share stories about Sitka’s history and natural environment.

Skagway to Yukon Scenic Adventure & Sled Dog Camp
Travel from Skagway into the Yukon on a scenic cross-border journey following the historic White Pass route of the Klondike Gold Rush. The tour combines dramatic mountain landscapes with cultural stops in the Yukon, highlighted by a visit to a sled dog camp where families can meet the dogs and learn about this iconic northern tradition.
- Pick up from the port and head to the White Pass scenic drive: Journey along the famous mountain pass used during the Klondike Gold Rush, with sweeping views of rugged peaks, waterfalls, and alpine scenery as you cross from Alaska into the Yukon.
- Tutshi Dog Camp: Spend time at an authentic sled dog camp where mushers introduce their teams and explain how sled dogs are trained and cared for. Guests can meet the dogs up close, learn about the history of dog sledding in the North, and see how these incredible athletes are prepared for life in the Yukon. NOTE: A sled ride isn’t included, but it can be purchased on the spot.
- Yukon Suspension Bridge: Walk across a suspension bridge high above a rushing river gorge while learning about the region’s natural environment and geology.
- Carcross Desert: Visit the world’s smallest desert, a surprising landscape of wind-shaped sand dunes surrounded by mountains and lakes.

Juneau Whale Watching Tour
Head out from Juneau for a focused whale watching experience in the waters of Southeast Alaska. After a scenic transfer to Auke Bay, board a custom whale watching vessel and spend two hours on the water searching for humpback whales, with chances to also spot orcas, sea lions, seals, bald eagles, and other Alaskan wildlife.
- Scenic transfer to Auke Bay: Travel by coach from downtown Juneau to Statter Harbor through the landscapes of Southeast Alaska.
- Two hours on the water: Cruise through Alaska waters with the captain and crew searching for whales and marine wildlife.
- Humpback whale viewing: The main focus of the tour is spotting humpback whales in their natural habitat.
- Possible orca sightings: Guides also keep watch for playful orcas and other marine life.
- Wildlife spotting beyond whales: Look for bald eagles, seals, sea lions, black bears, and other animals along the route.

Ketchikan Wildlife Safari & Totem Village Tour
This tour packs several of Ketchikan’s best wildlife and cultural stops into one outing. You’ll go to Herring Cove to look for bears, stop at Rainbow Falls, scan the shoreline for whales, seals, and sea lions, visit Saxman Native Village to see one of the most important collections of totem poles in Alaska, and learn about the salmon life cycle at the salmon ladder.
- Herring Cove Bear Sanctuary: Search for brown and black bears in one of the best bear-viewing areas near Ketchikan, where bears often gather around the stream and forested shoreline.
- Rainbow Falls: Visit a beautiful year-round waterfall where families can enjoy the scenery and take photos. This stop is especially popular with kids.

Victoria Gardens, Castle & Harbor Highlights
Spend the day exploring Victoria’s most beautiful gardens, historic landmarks, and waterfront areas. The itinerary combines nature, architecture, wildlife, and local harbor culture, ending with free time to enjoy food and views along the marina.
Note: based on current polls, the group will be divided into a 14 seater van and a 6 seater SUV (same tour, just separate transportation vehicles). If we get more sign ups, we will have two 14 seater vans. We cannot have a big bus as some of the attractions won’t allow them to go in.
- Butchart Gardens (Entrance included): Explore one of the world’s most famous botanical gardens, with themed areas such as the Sunken Garden, Japanese Garden, and Rose Garden, offering colorful landscapes and peaceful walking paths.
- Craigdarroch Castle: Visit this impressive Victorian-era mansion built in the late 1800s, where exhibits and restored rooms tell the story of one of Victoria’s most prominent families.
- Government House Gardens: Walk through the landscaped gardens surrounding the official residence of British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor, known for flower beds, sculptures, and views over the city.
- Beacon Hill Park & Children’s Farm: Stroll through this large waterfront park with ponds, gardens, and open lawns, and stop by the children’s farm to see friendly animals such as goats and other farm animals.
- Fisherman’s Wharf: End the day at Victoria’s colorful floating marina, where you can enjoy waterfront views, casual seafood stands, and sometimes spot seals swimming around the docks.
