All our excursions are private to our group, and our guides are carefully chosen for their ability to lead fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences for world-schooled kids.

Private Montserrat Half-Day Experience
Escape the city the day before your cruise for a journey to Montserrat, one of Catalonia’s most important natural and cultural landmarks. Travel comfortably from the Barcelona group hotel with a dedicated driver and guide, and explore this dramatic mountain range, national park, and centuries-old pilgrimage site at a pace that works well for families and worldschooling travelers.
- Scenic Drive from Barcelona: Travel by private, air-conditioned mini-bus from the cruise terminal into the Catalan countryside toward Montserrat’s distinctive jagged peaks.
- Montserrat Basilica: Visit the heart of Montserrat’s spiritual life, an important pilgrimage site and architectural landmark.
- Black Madonna (La Moreneta): Pre-booked access to see the famous Black Madonna, one of Spain’s most revered religious icons.

Alicante Historic Walk + Paella Cooking Experience (2 in 1 experience)
Start at Alicante’s Central Market to learn about local ingredients, then take a short private transfer up to the fortress and enjoy a guided walk downhill through the Old Town. The experience finishes at a restaurant in the historic center, where you’ll cook paella together and sit down to eat what you’ve made.
- Central Market: Introduction to the market and key ingredients; ingredients are delivered to the restaurant by the team (you won’t carry them during the walk).
- Fortress area: Private transportation up to the fortress, then begin a downhill walk through Alicante’s most beautiful historic areas.
- Old Town walk: Guided stroll through the historic center, ending near the restaurant below the fortress.
- Paella cooking + meal: Hands-on paella cooking with a local chef, plus tapas and drinks, finishing with a shared meal of your paella.
