We believe that the world is the best classroom. We organize connecting group trips for alternatively schooled families, providing unique opportunities to learn about different cultures, history, the natural world and socialize with a diverse group of kids. We plan each adventure to ensure a balance of exposure to educational opportunities, travel, fun, price and demand, fostering an environment where children and parents can bond and grow together. Like our daughter likes to put it, we create "The Millennial Childhood experience" of independence and friendships and learning by living.

Who are we?

Elena

Founder of Every Avenue Travel + Worldschooling Journeys

Elena is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, storyteller, and community builder with a lifelong devotion to meaningful travel. Before becoming a mother, she spent over a decade as a magazine editor, crafting travel stories and exploring the world on assignment. With 15+ years of firsthand experience across continents, from boutique hotels to cruises to cultural deep-dives, her knowledge runs deeper than itineraries.

But it wasn’t until she became a mother that her travels took on new meaning.

Longing for a lifestyle rooted in freedom, connection, and global education, Elena began carving a new path, one that allowed her daughter, Alexis, to grow up surrounded by wonder, friendships, and the real world.

What started as a personal journey quickly became a movement: one that now connects hundreds of families through shared travel experiences, deep community, and life-changing worldschooling adventures.

Today, Elena leads retreats, cruises, and family-centered journeys designed not just to explore the world, but to come alive in it.

Joe

Joe has been traveling since he was 3 months old, flying across the world with his flight attendant mom. He grew up in Minnesota, so he enjoys any kind of outdoor adventures. Joe grew up playing many sports as well as fishing with his family. He usually can be found traveling around the world somewhere, writing, taking photos, shooting videos, working out and exploring. He has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about many destinations and adventurous trips. He also loves to cook and very much loves to eat. He enjoys being quizzed on movie trivia and cannot help but quotes TV/movies in his daily life.
